Consuelo Chacón creates ephemeral architectures—poetic, spatial constructions where light, shadow, and transparency converge. Her work navigates memory, dreams, and loss as metaphysical conditions of the soul. Floating between sculpture, photography, and architecture, her expansive pieces emerge from fragments, hovering in a state of becoming and fading. These works serve as mirrors of inner states, where light, shadow, and emptiness engage in quiet dialogue.
Chacón holds a PhD in Fine Arts from the Complutense University of Madrid and began her artistic career in 1986. She has presented solo exhibitions across Spain, including at Arteara Gallery, Carmen de la Guerra Gallery, and Marcos Valcárcel Cultural Center. Her work has appeared in numerous group shows and institutions such as Casa de Velázquez, the University of Toulouse, and the Madrid Assembly. She has participated in international art fairs including ARCO, Artissima (Turin), Armory (New York), and the Affordable Art Fair (Stockholm). Her many awards include honors from UNED Mérida, L’Oréal, the Complutense University, and the City of Alcalá de Henares.
